Subtitles will be updated on the page as the movie progresses. It works fine if you don't stop playback often and don't move playback position back and forth. Otherwise, it will be inconvenient (see next paragraph).
There is another (advanced) way to synchronize subtitles with movie playback. We have developed a controller application that works with the VLC Media player. It allows you to automatically synchronize subtitles with movie playback.
To use this feature, install this controller application on your computer and configure it properly (enter a password); also, you need to install VLC Media player (if it is not already installed). The connection between the web application and the controller is established using the controller password. Visit Controller page for more information.
There is also a tool to synchronize Subtitles Robot with the Netflix movie in Chrome browser. We have a Chrome extension that allows you to achieve this. Visit Controller page for more information.
To move subtitles files via login, just login on your first device, go to the settings on the application page, and press the "upload to server" button. Then go to another device, login, and press the "download from server" button.
It is also possible to transfer subtitles files via Easy Share, without login on your destination device. To achieve this, first log in on your source device, make sure that subtitles files are loaded in the application and then go to Easy Share page. There you can create an Easy Share URL. Visiting this URL on your destination device will allow you to download subtitles files from your source device, as well as the connection password if it was available on source device. You can type this URL manually on your target device or send it via some messenger etc, or use QR code.
We have a tool on our website to fix it. Go to Timestamps Tool and follow the instructions. Basically you need to specify two correct timestamps (for example the first and the last line). Then the tool will recalculate all other timestamps in the file.
Bookmarks can be stored on our server for backup purposes. This requires a login.
This feature allows you to revisit problematic lines some time after the initial viewing. Repeated viewing is always helpful for memorizing new words.
