This feature allows you to connect this app to VLC media player
If such connection is established, playback of the movie and Subtitles Robot page are always in sync.
You can stop movie in player, move forward and back, restart again - subtitles position will be automatically adjusted.
VLC player is available on all major platforms and supports various media file formats.
Note that VLC player and this page can be running on different computers.
You can play a movie on a computer connected to your TV, while reading synchronized subtitles on your tablet, phone or laptop
(this webpage talks to VLC player over Internet, via controller).
To connect Subtitles Robot app to VLC player:

Make sure you are logged in.

Create a new controller password on controller page, if not already done.

Download our controller application from controller page. Both Windows and Mac versions are available.
Install controller on your machine. If not installed yet, install VLC player from its official website.

Start controller and enter the password (created at step 2) into corresponding field, then click "connect" button.
A connection between controller and our server will be established (you will see message 'waiting for incoming connections...').
Select a movie file in controller and click start icon. VLC player will pop up, a movie will be started.

In this page, click "connect to controller" button. A connection between this page and controller will be established.

Synchronized subtitles will start to run, based on current playback position reported by the controller.
